What kind of vendors can I expect?

We have everything from reception halls, gown and tux shops, photographers, florists, catering, bakers, entertainment, honeymoon planning, and more. The Original Wedding Expo strives to hit every aspect of the wedding planning process to ensure everyone finds what they’re looking for!

Will there be giveaways?

Of course! Every expo has a fashion show at 2pm which includes the hottest new trends in wedding attire for all four seasons. Promptly after we have our grand prize giveaway! Prizes vary each show but every attendee is automatically registered into the grand prize entry. From free honeymoons, jewelry, discounted tuxedos, limos, and more. Be sure to stop by every booth as well when making your way throughout the show room. A majority of our vendors also do their own giveaways. (Tip: enter as many as you can, and circle back towards the end of the expo, post fashion show, to see if you won!)

What should I bring to the expo?

Nothing is required but you and your guests and a smile on your face because wedding planning is exciting! Over the past few years we’ve seen many couples coming in to our expos on a mission to find a specific vendor. If you’re on a mission, try writing down the must see booths before you enter the show that way you have time to peruse after! We’ve also seen a lot of couples come with stickers that list all of their registration/contact information. This makes it super easy when registering for the expo as well as handing out contact info to any vendor you’re looking to book. These can be made easily online and come in handy when attending our shows that way you can simply peel off a sticker and slap it on a registration card.

Where can I buy tickets?

A few places actually! If you head on over to you can select which show you would like to attend, press purchase tickets, and fill out the registration card like the one below!

Ticket Form

Tickets are also available for $12 at the door.
As we gear up for our 2016-2017 season we are excited to see what this year’s shows have in store for us and our guests! The Original Wedding Expo aims to please our attendees to the best of our abilities and would love feedback after your attendance. Feel free to contact us with feedback or questions at . Congratulations to all the new recently engaged couples and happy planning!

Wedding Day Preparations

Fashion, function, and fun, three words every woman loves to hear. Rebecca Turley took these three words into consideration when creating the patent pending product, BeBibs. The company was launched in September 2015 with the ideal focus of bringing a product to a diverse demographic of women to help make their lives run with a little more ease.

Rebecca’s vision to provide people with a better start to their day took the traditional unflattering bib to another level. Designed with fashion and fun in mind Rebecca uses materials that are lightweight, attractive and uplifting making BeBibs a functional solution that is fun to wear.

In addition to protecting your clothing, BeBibs also provide inspiration as you begin your day.

“We all know that the first words and thoughts of the morning can have a profound impact on how our day unfolds. BeBibs are a great way to start your day on the right foot with clean clothes and a positive intention.”

BeBibs is a fashionable, functional and most importantly, fun, neck piece for women of all ages to use while getting ready in the morning, applying makeup, eating dinner on your wedding day, and more. The purpose of the garment is to simply protect yourself from all the spills we make on a daily basis. In order to please the masses, Rebecca and her team at BeBibs have created a universal product with interchangeable bibs, available in 30 different prints, colors, and styles.

The Be Bibs team has found their product to be useful for many occasions. Whether you have a young dancer who can’t get makeup on her costume, a bride to be, or a new mother, BeBibs provides a wide range of uses for a variety of girls and women.

Along with the different prints and styles, BeBibs also offers a custom option for their product. A perfect gift from a bride to her bridesmaids! Try embroidering your bridesmaids names or the date the wedding so they always have something to remember what a special day it was. A great fabric option for brides are the floral applique or simple cream fashion bib. Not only will these two choices leave you stress free about ruining your wedding dress but will also keep your looking stylish while dining.

Although they are a fairly new business, BeBibs has hit the ground running with their new website and keeping updated with different trends.Looking to learn more about BeBibs and their products?  You can find BeBibs on all social media including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Etsy, as well as their website

Halloween Weddings

Wedding Day Preparations

Since it’s the month of Halloween, it’s time to discuss the best ways to incorporate the spooky holiday into your future October wedding. There’s always a way to do holidays tastefully, in fact we even wrote about it right here in our Winter 2015 Issue. But since its October, we’re here to talk about all things Halloween.

Whether it be incorporating orange and black into your color scheme, or having guests where costumes instead of classic wedding attire, Halloween weddings provide a new wedding experience. Holiday themed weddings can be tricky. What’s over the top? What’s not? Some of the best ways we found to incorporate this holiday is to…

Play up the deserts! Since Halloween is all about getting the best type of candy, spicing up the desserts can be an easy way to incorporate the holiday. Try adding in some traditional Halloween figured cake pops, or a simple white cake with detailing that looks like a spider web.

Add some activities. Weddings should be fun and giving your guests an activity to do as the night goes on will make the affair even better. Your young guests will love this too. Try playing games like dressing the mummy, where chosen guests have to wrap someone in tissue paper as fast as they can. Or include tiny pumpkins as favors, included with a marker for guests to decorate. Take a picture with your guests and their pumpkins once they are all decorated.

Orange and black color scheme! This may seem scary to some but there are ways to use these two colors together in a tasteful manner. Try using a burnt orange, with an off white and feathered grey/black. This combination adds in a nice fall rustic vibe without screaming HALLOWEEN.

What sounds more delicious than homemade apple cider, a pumpkin martini, or a vampire bloody mary. There are plenty of “fall” drinks you can add hints of Halloween too! Add in food coloring to make drinks appeal spookier, like blue or green food dye for a witches brew!

Hope you enjoyed these spooktastic- ideas! Happy October!!

What’s Trending and Timeless with Event Planner Andrea Correale

Blueberry Parfait

What’s in style this spring? We asked event planner Andrea Correale to weigh in on everything from today’s trends to classic favorites. Andrea is a lifestyle and entertaining expert for L’Oreal Paris Academy,, Sam’s Club, (a subsidiary of 1-800 Flowers), and Lenox China.

Andrea’s company,  Elegant Affairs,  has satisfied the palates of luminaries like  Kevin Spacey, Mitt Romney, Mariah Carey, P.Diddy, Billy Joel, Russell Simmons, Ivana Trump, Liam Neeson, Jimmy Fallon, and L.A Reid. Corporate clients include Def Jam Records, Ferrari, Maserati, American Express, Cirque du Soleil, HBO, Niche Media, American Heart Association, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s, House of Vans, The Container Store, UrbanDaddy, FEMA Disaster Relief, Open Road Media, Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Etro, Fendi  Juicy Couture, Everything But Water, Bumble & Bumble, Children’s Medical Fund, Molloy College, and NYU.

Here’s her take on what’s trending and timeless this spring as well as a bit about herself and her company, Elegant Affairs.

Can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and how you got into the events business?

My love for food and events really began when I was young, still living at home and learning from my mother and father around the Correale family dinner table. My mother showed me that a table could be beautifully set with creativity on any budget.

I then began my entrepreneurial career at the age of 16 when I created an “event staff for hire” company out of my childhood home on Long Island. After receiving my degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at NYIT, I launched Elegant Affairs, a full service off-premise catering and event-planning firm. Today Elegant Affairs is considered the best in the Hamptons, Manhattan, and Long Island and since its inception 18 years ago, has produced over 800 events a year with razor sharp attention to detail.

What wedding trends do you see as timeless?

Although many brides and grooms have done away with the throwing of the bouquet and garter, the one thing that’s true and blue is the cake cutting ceremony. The wedding cake has taken on such a role that it signifies the first time the bride and groom share something together; it represents the enormity of their commitment to one another. The tradition dates back to Medieval Times, when the bride and groom shared a piece of cake before distributing it to the guests to symbolize their union and their promise to forever provide for each other. The wedding cake may have taken on different shapes and styles, whether in the form of a cupcake, or a 10 tier blinged out piece of art, but either way, its presence in a wedding is a timeless attribute.

What are the top ten trends in weddings for the spring?

  • Champagne bars
  • Strolling cocktail hour stations
  • Tapas-style menus
  • Monochromatic bouquets
  • “To-Go” after-party stations
  • Brides and grooms writing their own vows
  • Monogrammed everything
  • Mixing metallic shades with pastels
  • Daytime brunch wedding receptions
  • Tented garden receptions

What’s on the menu for receptions?

Local everything! Society is moving towards organic and locally produced fare. Vegetables are taking center stage with items like kale salad and quinoa showing up on many menus. Branzino has become a very popular fish choice, whilst chicken has made a real comeback. No more rubber chicken, but a French cut chicken breast with crispy skin, seasoned with lemon and cracked pepper. Cocktail hours are consisting of vegan sushi bars and are a huge craze right now! Lastly, out with the buffalo mozzarella and in with the burrata bar! This is warm burrata served with crusty loaves of ciabatta bread, sun-dried tomato puree, tomato basil puree, baby arugula, mache, sea salt, basil pesto, cracked black pepper, balsamic glaze, olivada, marinated mushrooms, and grilled vegetable relish.

What are the top colors popping this spring?

This spring’s color palette is all about earthy metallics mixed with shades of lavender! Pastels with navy and charcoal are huge right now. A popular classic you may see again are grays with pinks and yellows. Brides aren’t afraid of color anymore, and the grooms are having a lot more say in the colors chosen for their special day!

What’s new in lighting?

For the brides that are doing a tented wedding, the clear span tent is a huge trend, allowing the natural light to take center stage… the stencil placed in front of LED lighting of whimsical floral patterns on the ceiling and dance floor are really popular as well!

Are you a fan of themed weddings? Do you have a favorite?

I am not a fan of “kitchy” themed weddings, but if I have to pick one theme to be inspired by it would have to be the Gatsby Style of entertaining and take nuances of the glamorous style to create an overall look.

The best way to use a theme is as an inspiration, whether it is a Mediterranean style or Tuscan vineyard, then implement key undertones into your décor to create a vibe, as opposed to becoming too focused on specific details that take away from the wedding.

How can couples integrate their individuality in their celebration?

Couples can integrate their individuality in many ways. They can write their own vows, or design a menu based on their favorite foods and restaurants. A fun idea is to name your guests tables after your favorite movies or places you’ve traveled to together.

Do you believe in happily ever after?

I absolutely believe in it. I am a true romantic at heart and I believe everyone has a soul mate. I love being able to bring [a couple’s] vision to life and celebrate the beginning of their happily ever after!
